I have a vintage Blau Frankfurt US that came out of my BMW CS (it works great,
and will go back in at some point with a cd player in the trunk for variety).
I could be all wet, but I think the 7 pin DIN connector is actually there to
connect to an accessory cassette player. The power input, chassis ground and
speaker outputs are all separate from this connector.

Looking at the back of my unit, the antenna connect is on the far left, then
comes the DIN plug and right above that, a male terminal that is for the
chassis ground. On the far right, there is a male terminal protruding
slightly from a whole at near the bottom, this is the 12v power input.
Directly above this are two holes of approx. 3 mm diameter that are where the
speaker +/- plugs in. There is a small ideogram of a speaker stamped into the
case in the upper right corner of the back of the unit, indicating the speaker
connection. The plug that fits this connection may be another tough one to
find, but you could probably open the case and make a connection inside if you
cannot find the speaker pigtail.

Hope I'm right and this helps!

Cheers,
Tony
