Re: Projector Light bulb for parking

Chip Mutza asked about the turn signal light bulb and someone else replied it
was a 1156 or 1157.

Those are the numbers I remember looking at, but I only needed one filament,
because the parking lights are in the headlights The problem, if Chip's
lights are like mine, the pins need to be offset vertically on the bulb like
a standard US bulb. But they are NOT opposite each other, something like 150
degrees one way and 210 the other. I couldn't find anyone who could get the
non-opposed pin bulbs, so after about 2 weeks trying to find a socket that
would work, I finally figured out a solution. l cut one pin off, and then
created a "pin" from solder at the appropriate place, filed it down so now it
acts as the offset pin. Has been in the car for over a year with no
problems.
