Mileage suddenly dropped 5 mpg on 91 Spider?

Hello all,
 My gas mileage went down ~5 mpg. Now I only get 24-25mpg out of the car. Last week on the way to Vegas from Sunnyvale (CA) @ 106 degree temp, I got 29 mpg on the highway with average speed of 75-80mph. On the way back I only got 24 mpg. Now I'm driving in town and some freeway, I only get 24-25mpg. The 91 spider is still starts right up, idles well, accelerates smoothly, I can't figure out what can cause the sudden drop in the gas mileage. I replaced spark plugs before about 3000 miles ago. The air cleaner had been there for almost a year when I got the car in Sept. If you have any suggestion, please let me know. I can see the gas gauge moving down like my 98 AUDI A6, and it's not a pleasant experience... heehheehhehehe..
