164 runs poor

hi,
    my 92 164 L has taken to running poorly.  its always been tricky to
start. if you dont hold the key and overrun the starter for a second, it
will stall. after that, its a mutha to start, its pretty heavily flooded.
overrun the key, always no problem .plus, you never touch the gas, or same
thing, really tough not to flood. its been getting a little rattier the past
week, and today was horrible to start. same deal, only on restart, it
wouldnt catch, and stank of gas. i had to pull 3 injector connectors to get
it to catch. also, i disconnected the AFM plug to start it. after it
started, i plugged it in and it stalled. i drove home 15 miles with the AFM
unplugged.
    i have a car disc and was going to start doing some checking . the AFM
door is fine, no binding. i was going to check electrical values of the AFM,
02 sensor ( i know what that should be)  ect. car disc has a wiring diagram,
but i cant find pin outs or voltages of the motronic unit. i also can find
how to pull codes.  basically, i cant find sh*t.  car disc is tough to
navigate. is it not there ,or am i spastic and cant find it.   if its not
there, where can i find it ? anyone else with a 164 have a problem like
this?
