Replacing spare wheel well?

 Hello Alfa-Digest, I need to replace the spare wheel well in my 86 spider and I have purchased a replacement well. Does anyone have experience in how to replace it? It looks like there is a lip  that lays down on the trunk floor but also appears to go under other pieces if metal. Would anyone know the correct steps for removing the old one and replacing the well? Thanks, SteveGordon_@domain.elided (73 and 86 spiders)
