sagging headliner repair

This is not an Alfa specific question but it may be applicable. I have purchased a '95 Nissan Primera to drive while I finish the work on my spider (and i'ts real nice to have the air con now that summer is here). Once small problem is that the headliner is sagging in places ruining the appearance of an otherwise impeccable car (and messing up my hair!).

I have thought of getting a syringe and filling it with some sort of adhesive and injecting it through the felt like material. It would leave no visible mark and with the correct adhesive I feel that this might work.

Any comments? Am I nuts? Is there a better way?

Cheers
