This question comes up often on sci.engr.joining.welding Do a search
on groups.google.com for cast iron manifold welding, and take any advice
that Ernie Leimkhuler gives.

A summary of the process is: grind a v-shaped groove following the
crack, and make sure it is clean. Pre-heat manifold to about 400F,
braze with a high-nickle content braze. Tig-brazing is an extra nice
way to go. After brazing bury the manifold in vermiculite, fine ash,
etc... something that will insulate it, allowing it to cool very slowly.

I'll make it even easier for you:

BTW where is this Milano? I could use a few small bits from it
