Spider Headlight switch

I've often heard about Alfa headlight switches failing
due to the lack of a relay to lessen the load. I believe
I'm experiencing a switch on its way out. The headlights
come on just fine, but the interior and parking lights do
not. I'm able to fire them up if I jiggle the column switch.
This leads me to believe the switch is the culprit. Would
removing the switch and cleaning contacts be possible,
or is the unit one that has to be replaced as a whole.
Also, the lower covering of the steering column
is riveted on, I suppose I need to drill these rivets out?
Will I then be able to access the switch or does the
steering wheel then need to be pulled?

Thanks in advance,
