'91 164S alarm issues

Hey folks, I'm having some problems with the alarm system in my '91
164S. The car has been in storage for some time. Well, the battery
went dead one day I was out there & it set off the alarm siren. The
siren is self powered by a rechargable battery pack inside the siren.
After taking the siren apart & clipping the wires to the battery pack
the noise finally quit. I obtained a coupla of alarm key blanks from
www.ferrariofseattle.com since I did not have a key. I had the blanks
cut & figured I was all set. I reassembled the siren, plugged it back
into the system, & hooked up the battery which showed fully charged on
two different chargers. This is one of those honkin big Interstate
heavy duty commericial sized batteries. Once I hooked up the battery
the alarm siren started wailing & I noticed the alarm LED in the center
console flashing. The remote for the alarm would not turn it off. I
disabled the alarm system with the key manually at this point. Then I
tried to start the car, there was nothing except the two lights for the
electronic suspension. No starter click, no other lights on the dash
whatsoever. With the battery hooked up to the car & connected the
battery charger to see if I could start it this way. Well, the seats
started freaking out, raising themselves to the full height & trying to
keep going. I disconnected the charger. I did not try starting the car
while the alarm siren was sounding. Also, I did not check the fuses as
the car is in a tight spot currently & I did not have enough room to
take a look. Anyone have any tips or similiar experience. The '91 -
'93 alarms are different from the '94 - ''95 cars I've been told so we
cannot compare the two systems.

Ciao,
