I'm not sure I'd want to mess with it, but if your car is setup like a USA Milano or post-'84 GTV6, your proportioning valve is sort of under the master cylinder--it's a block of metal with brake lines going in and out of it. The adjuster is under a rubber cap on the back.

Somebody in this list, a while ago, sent me a JPG about
it's car's hood. On this image he edited a red arrow to
point me something behind the master cylinder. Something
that I should adjust to improve braking.
Since I cannot find the damn adjustment, I ask this guy (sorry

His car has a duomi bar, the big intercooler isn't there
anylonger (probably on the front), the tube passing over
the engine head, is going straight toward the front of the car.
