RE: Refurbishing the Ugly Plastic Bumpers on a 1978 Spider



I find the problem with the tire gels is that they tend to wash off very
quickly.  If you have any paint work below the gelled area, it will be
stained with run marks from the tire gel.  It washes off, but it's ugly
when it's there.

Don't laugh but I heard olive oil works very well.  Make sure it's
Italian though and not that Greek stuff.
