Did you anneal the copper gaskets before installing them ? Annealing copper
softens it and removes any springiness. Heat the gaskets up to a dull red
with a gas torch and then drop them, while still hot, in a bucket of water.
Also, you might want to check the flatness of the exhaust manifold flanges.
I believe that all the flanges should line up together. Check with a
straight edge.
