simple green bad for aluminum

Not strictly an Alfa post, but related. I read last night in the July 2000
AOPA Pilot magazine that Simple Green cleaner is corrosive (citric acids
maybe?), and in particular etches aluminum.  Airplane (and Alfa) owners are
cautioned to rinse with plenty of water afterward if using it.  This was
brought up by the US Army on its aircraft and apparently confirmed by Simple
Green's tech department.
