Peugeot?Chrysler

Chrysler entered into a marketing arrangement with Peugeot (in Canada at
least) and tried to market the Peugeot 505 (especially the Turbo). I
remember because Chrysler paid me $50 just to test drive the Peugeot 505
Turbo and let them know why I wasn't interested in buying one. Weird French
design (the Italians don't even come close to the French when it comes to
national design quirks), poor ergonomics (from an Anglo Saxon point of view
of course) and sluggish performance (no 5 spd was offered, at least for the
test drive) made a purchase unlikely. Plus the sales staff at the local
Chrysler dealership were so obviously enthralled with the car, how could
one resist making them an offer (gag)?

I did seriously test drive a Renault 30 years ago before I bought my first
SAAB, speaking of quirky national automobiles. The R 30 was a superb car
with an engine no one could love (it later found its way into the Volvo 764
and the DeLorean, terrible powerplant)

Alfa content: zero. Sorry folks.
