Not sure about this one but, in Japan, there is a Toyota called the Crown.
In Japanese, the word for crown is Kanmuri, which, if said as a Japanese
speaking person would do, sounds much like the word Camry.

Methinks that Toyota has added "mysique" to their car on both shores by
giving it a forign sounding name. After all, who here would buy a car called
the crown?? and isn't the Camry one of the best sellers in North America at
the moment. I guess they're on to something.
