Well, think about it. If people buy a $30K USA E36 BMW M3. They spend
another $10K on it (go-fast parts for those cars are not cheap,
comforti chip, uuc shifter, exhaust, euro hfm, euro floating rotors etc
etc). You are now down $40K. Do you think it's worth it? Tough
question. You sell it in a few years time to buy an E46 330i or M3, the
market is flooded with M3s to begin with. So you sell it at $24K with
all the goodies. You now have lost $16K, not including the insurance
premium on those cars.

But for a car like the GTV6/Milano which are cheap to begin with, of
course it's worth it! You pay $3K for it. Spend another $10K on it. You
are now down $13K but you can sell it for $5K. You lose $8K. Insurance
isn't too bad.

This probably applies to the US market only.

So people, keep sinking your money into the 116 series cars...they
worth every penny 8-).
