Re: alfa-digest V8 #658

Hey gang!
I thought I would send a warning to anyone wanting to save a little
money on a power antenna for their Alfa. The guy's ads appear frequently on
Ebay and infer that the antenna will fit an Alfa (amongst many other cars)
The antennas are nothing but generic power antennas available at your local
auto parts store for $19.99 - $29.99. When you leave negative feedback after
paying $50.00+ for something that doesn't fit he responds by saying you need
professional help. The message below is from another unhappy customer. I will
be totally honest here... Dickenns doesn't specifically say the antenna will
fit an Alfa but the fact that he advertises them under the Alfa banner and
then asks what model car you have certainly infers that the part will fit
that particular car. IT DOESN'T! They are nothing but generic antennas. LET
THE BUYER BEWARE!

Greetings,
I see you bought an antenna from dickenns too. I bought one he said would fit
my Acura Legend (it didn't), but like you I discovered he is selling
generics. His constant reply is "Person needed professional help." I
encourage you to file formal complaint thru eBay's Safe Harbor resources just
as I did. Its hard to believe more people posted negative feedback for his
misleading ads.
Good luck,
Brad Baker
