RE: 164 power seat question

Every time this occurred with mine, the problem has been with the
control switches on the side of the seat. They seem prone to get
contaminated on the terminal surfaces with disuse. Removing the
switches (you can also try leaving them where they are first) and
applying liberal amounts of WD40 in all cracks and surfaces fixes this
problem. Of course, electrical contact cleaner will work better if you
have some handy.

Subject: 164 power seat question

My 1991 passenger seat moves forward, but not backward.
What could the cause be, can it be fixed, and is there a manual way to
move the seat back?
