Re: Still FS: 1984 GTV6 Maratona

Hello all,
This truly is an amazing car. It's back up on eBay... it has lost
8500 miles and grown a 3.0 liter engine, and according to the auction,
"They have only made 150 of these beautiful 1984 Alfa Romea GTV 3.0 Coupe
Maraton, this car also won a car show." It is also the first GTV6 I've
ever seen with power steering and an "AM/FM Original Alfa Romeo Stereo"
disguised as an aftermarket Alpine CD player.
In all fairness, it does look like a very nice Maratona, and it
seems to me that the car was not listed by the fellow that originally
posted it to the list... I just hope that someone doesn't wind up paying
for something only to find out later that they didn't get quite what they
thought they were getting... even though the auction clearly states (in
small print) "LISTED STANDARD EQUIPMENT IS TAKEN FROM A DATABASE OF YEAR
MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. NOT ALL OPTIONS MAY APPLY TO THIS VEHICLE, CHECK
PHOTOS." If that disclaimer is really adequate for what is listed, they
may as well have listed it with all wheel drive, a 24v 237hp motor and a
six-speed. On the plus side, for an extra $99 you do get a car wash and a
tank of gas. Well... the auction was listed on April 1st.
So what's the story with this, Ross?

         Happy (careful) Bidding!
