points and condensers

I have relatively little experience with point and condenser ignitions
(too young to have been subjected to them much), and I'm at my wit's
end with the set on my Berlina. Here's what I know:

- +12 between coil + and ground

- coil checks out with resistance check (about 22K between center post and
either terminal, about 9K between terminals)

- condenser checks out (slowly rising resistance over time)

- points open and close, and appear to be adjusted more or less correctly
  (no dwell meter on hand)

- distributor turns with engine

- appears to be a good ground at points

So, all the bits appear to be OK, but there's still no spark (plug
grounded as car is cranked shows nothing). Car suddenly stopped working,
after running for weeks.

Anyone have any ideas on where to proceed from here (besides just buying
all the parts and swapping, this is partly an educational exercise)?

Thanks,

james montebello
