Milano -- No spark

My Milano (87 2.5L) died as I was driving down the freeway. I thought I
had the problem diagnosed to a bad Bosch ignition module, but the no name
replacement I was given by the NAPA autoparts guys didn't improve
things. I'm not to good on this ignition stuff so I hope someone here
might be able to help. Here are some of the things I've checked so far.
1) Cranked engine, no spark
2) measured primary and secondary on coil and both are within spec per
Alfa manual
3) Checked coil voltage -- OK
4) checked voltage of Hall Effect sensor on distributor (looks fine)
5) Measured Distributor Hall Effect output with oscilloscope (looks like a
square wave when engine cranked.
6) checked wiring from Hall Effect to ignition advance control module -- all OK
7) checked output from ignition advance control module with scope -- looks
like square wave
8) checked wiring from advance control module to Ignition Power module -- OK
9) verified square wave output from Advance control module makes it to
power modle -- OK
10) checked coil primary with scope -- it doesn't do anything just sits
there at battery voltage. I was expecting it to get pulsed between ground
and 12V.

That last test made me think it was the power module, so I replaced it with
some no-name replacement part. That didn't improve things. Any ideas on
other things I should check? At $250 for a non returnable ignition module,
I can't afford to make this mistake twice.

Thanks,
Marc
