RE: 2002/2003 challenge - claiming rule?
This is an easy one. There is no claim rule anymore.
If someone protests the "value" of your car, then a board of 3 or 4 people decide whether your car is legal.
When there was a rule, you HAD to be a registered competitor to be able to buy the car.
I'm still deciding how fair this is, but nobody protested anyone else this year, and as far as I know, no transactions have ever taken place.
Mortimer may be the fastest Berlina in the world, but can it do the 1/4 mile in 12.5 seconds? Which is the claimed fastest car there, but could not stay at the drag race for the "rain out" date. I believe it, too- last year they did a 12.8 or so at the event. Omni GLH Turbo.
