Not true about hydrogen having less energy then gasoline.  The energy in
gasoline associated with carbon is in the bonds between the carbon,
oxygen and hydrogen.  By weight, hydrogen has THREE TIMES the energy
that gasoline has.  Fuel cells are now a realistic alternative, the main
problem is establishing a hydrogen distribution system.  Soon gasoline
cars will be valued for their "vintage" feel and the best
performing/most comfortable cars will be electric/fuel cell.
