re: Vent Window Glue

And my two cents on this. I assume that the situation is the same, but
location is slightly different; the rear view mirror glued to the
windshield. My mirror broke, so I bought a generic replacement, which
came with the adhesive. Cleaned the glass and mirror base with acetone,
applied the adhesive per instructions, and for a couple of days it
worked. Came out to the car after it was parked at work to find it had
fallen off.
Tried again, with a different brank of ahdesive, from a car parts place,
and same results.

Finally - Went to a glass shop close to home. They did it in less than
10 minutes, while I waited. The mirror is still afixed to the
windshield. Cost? Only 10 or 15 $US. AND, it is still working. No
strokes for DIY, but I have a working mirror, thank you very much

John Gallagher asked. Anyone know what glue to use to reattach the vent
window latches on a Spider? Thanks.

John I've tried, my mechanic tried, and we both gave up. I know of
three other AROC South Florida Member with the same problem.

If anyone has a solution..Please help John and I.

I was thinking of having a hole drilled in installing a nice chrome
fastener from the out side in. This way if someone wants to get into my

car they can just use a screwdriver and not brake a window or cut my
top. I this doable, can safety glass be drilled?

Thanks People
Gabriel
