Milano/75/GTV Changing rubber bushing to spherical joint on De Dion

Has anybody done the SZ modification to the De Dion axle of a
Milano/GTV? I'm talking about the modification described in the article
by Larry Dickman Jr. that is posted in several sites, where he talks
about changing the front rubber bushing of the De Dion to a spherical
joint. I'm thinking of this mod on my Milano and would like to hear
others comments on changes in comfort, handling, road noise, durability,
etc.
