RE: cops and italian plates

I'm afraid, I too, have to agree with others' posts on this. Sounds like
those cops may have been a little bit ignorant but they definitely were
being very very cool about it. Basically, cops have much more important
things to do in most parts of the world these days than kick up a fuss over
something that is so easily fixed.

Some cops may be idiots, just like some people in every other walks of life
may be jerks. Policing tends to attract dumb thugs so maybe even more than
just "some cops" may be idiots BUT it still doesn't pay to act like a moron
around them. Especially where you live, they have guns.

You probably got lucky and caught them near the end of their shift and in a
good mood. I wouldn't push your luck in future. Besides, if some dumb Volvo
driver backs in to your car and you are only displaying a singe Italian
plate on the back, where will that leave you?
