Hot Spiders
Hello,
Just a comment on what's been said many times on this digest "My Spider
Runs Hot"
I have never experienced that, My spider always ran cool under 180
till install a new 180 thermostat , now it's been locked at 180 for 18
months. Please note..I live in South Florida where the average temp is
80+ degrees. So I don't know if I'm just lucky of if I just have a well
maintained engine.. I won't complain. I had also installed Red Line
"Wetter Water" to my antifreeze, perhaps this helped.
Tomorrow, I'll be driving the car for the first time in two
weeks. ("Leaping Lena" named after my 80yo mother, who till this day,
loves to ride with me my open Spider, we get a lot of looks.. God Bless
Her) The radiator will now have distilled water and "Wetter Water"
only. This is what Red Line recommends. Since I have no worries with
freezing down here, I've opted to try this for better cooling, and because
it's friendly to our earth.
No I'm Not A Tree Hunger,
