Dues Increase vs Pacers Game vs Live Show

Alfisti,

$60.00 a year for dues to AROC! Heck, that is portion of the cost of one Pacers basketball ticket that is not in "Nosebleed Heaven" or a portion of a live band show at Deerfield Park. Goodness, I may have to skip a Broadway Show at Clowes Hall!

Afterall, I only read the Alfa Owner several times a month and have almost all of the issues. Gee Whiz! What does the Alfa Owner do for me except keep me current with Alfa activities, provide a technical adviisor, give me resources to a library, loan tools, give a list of dealers and service personnel, supply me with advertisements on service and sales entities, list parts and cars for sale and render responses to my inquiries. With my memory, who needs such a magazine. Of course, I have committed all issues of the Digest to memory; who hasn't?

I have never considered an increase in my fees; I just absorb the costs and do not make ends meet. After all, there has been no increase in costs in the last 30 years. Further, it is cash flow, not a balanced budget, that keeps me in business. I naturally assume everyone else operates on the same premise. Am I mistaken?

Friends, costs due increase. Volunteer labor is nice, but very time consuming. I am pleased with the AROC and the Alfa Owner. The extra $15.00 may cost me a trip to McDonalds for myself, my girl friend and her kids, but it is still worth it.

Think it over. I trust my satire will hit home.
