Matching #s

Fellow Alfisti,

How important is it to the potential $ value(or
intrinsic value, if we care to go there) of later
model Alfa Romeos, models such as the 164, Milano(75)
and '80/'90s era Spiders to have matching engine and
VIN #s?  Anyone on the list have any ideas or thoughts
about this?  TIA.
