I had a metallic blue Spider.  Not sure of the colour code but it was
gorgeous.  Never saw another one like it.  I also happen to think silver is
another handsome colour.

Now I have a buddy with a red '87 Spider Quad with 26,000kms.  It's always
garaged but the red is fading.  You can really notice it on the plastic bits
and on the trunklid.  I've noticed this on other red Spiders, particularly
the plastic fading.

In the end though, it's your car.  If red makes you happy, go for it.  But
also consider selling it and getting a new red one.  There's plenty of them
around.  See which one makes more sense financially.
