(Fwd) Go fly a Ducati kite

Sorry, this is non-alfa-content, but this was a nice post made a
few months ago to Godfrey's euro-moto list. I can't remember the
author, to give credit, but I think it was a fellow named Danno. I
thought it pretty darn funny, and I think quite a few of you can
appreciate the humour.  enjoy. ;}

Hey Fabio, I've got a custom-built R-Kites two-line stunt flier I could
part
with. It's got a 7.5ft wingspan, carbon fiber struts, ballistic fabric
with
semi-opaque colors, Stren line...<<

Maybe bike manufacturers could build stunt kites to augment sales.
Guzzi's
will be kinda slow, but it will stay up for a long time and be most
satisfying to fly; BMW will make one that requires users to re-learn
kite
flying; Ducati will build the fastest and flashiest kite, but it will
constantly break struts, which will not be available at your local
dealer;
Aprilia will make a different design which everyone else will want to
copy;
MV Augusta will buy Aprilia kites, put their name on them, and charge an
extra
$100; Morini will emerge as the kite flyer's favorite, but production
will
last only a year; the Japanese will make the cheapest and easiest-to-fly

kites around but they will lack "soul" and only boring rewbies will buy
them; and of course, Triumph will copy the Japanese kites until, after a
few
years, they figure out how to make their own.

P.S.
Sorry, Fabio, I originally meant to just write "Right on!" in repsonse
to
your remark, but I got carried away with this newly-rejuvenated list --
parts unavailable online at this time, though.
