    I'd like to just get a quick note to everyone who responded to my
recent message with advice on my new (to me) '77 Spider that "up and
dies."  [One of you disliked that phrasing; on retrospect, it is
disrespectful to the beauty of these cars, so I'd like to say that it
"just takes a snooze (anyone know Italian for 'siesta'?) once in a
while."]
    I received nearly a dozen responses.  The consensus from you all is
that the problem is likely electrical (I've received various specific
recommendations), that I need to track it down and fix it, and then run
it like an Alfa deserves to be run.  I hope to have the time this
weekend to delve into things, and I'll keep you all apprised of what I
-- hopefully -- discover.
    I feel like I've been welcomed into a special group -- you digest
folks.  Thanks again for the warm reception you've given this reformed
TR owner.
