In the fwiw dept..
Stebro advertises a system for the Bora. As I was in need of such a system,
I had discussion with some folks on the Maserati list. I received plenty of
input, good and bad.
Paul Glynn has had great results with Stebro, and as he was a business (and
therefore Stebro presumably had more to lose by pi$$ing him off), he
recommended we go ahead with it.
We ordered the Stebro Bora components, and they arrived in a timely manner,
and although everything hasn't yet been reassembled (there's other work to
be done before things go back together), they seem to match up pretty well
with what's already there. At any rate, even if the fit turns out to be off
by a little bit (I've heard that even the factory exhaust components don't
bolt up to the Bora first time around), Paul is a superb fabricator and will
make everything right.
I was pretty surprised that they'd have Bora components in stock. The cars
are 25 - 30 years old, and they didn't make many of them. I wonder if what
I got was what Pauls friend has been waiting for for the last 3 years?
