Alan, your last message was necessary to understand
better. Excuse me, but I understood a different point
of view reading your first message. Perhaps my
comprehension wasn't good or I missed the tone.

Anyway, it seems to me you told something about "this
discussion isn't an Alfa stuff". Am I correct?

If yes, please let me explain what I think an Alfa
digest has to be. If I'm wrong, let me say the same
things, because surely there will be someone thinking
to this discussions as "cazzate" (stupid things).

I see, study and live Alfa Romeo in the most spacious
sense. Speaking about Alfa Romeo isn't, in my opinion,
only to do as I see many does in yahoo groups, they
speak about technical problems (a problem can't be
solved, anyway, by internet or only "speaking about").
I think they do so not only because to speak of
technical problems is important but also because,
surely, they don't know the Alfa Romeo world. They
have nothing to write except than "I drive my car so,
you drive as me?" or "my warning lights..... your turn
indicator..". 
To live and to know about Alfa Romeo for me (and, as I
can think, also for others) is something more. Is to
know the history, the models, of course the problems,
how to repair, how to drive, but I live Alfa in a
global perspective. I need to know everything, for me
to have a passion is also this. Is to know the actual
facts as the past facts (the present is the result of
the past or not?), is to know the impressions of the
worldwide owners / lovers of the brand. I hope you can
understand. Every opinion about Alfa can stays well in
an alfa digest. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I consider the
digest as the ideal square where we all, after our
job, would to be to speak, teach and learn about Alfa
Romeo. It's a virtual square just because itsn't
impossible to see everyone in the same place.

So, please, start considering also the chairs of the
Portello as Alfa related. Because it's so.
