valve adjustment on Milano Verde

Hi all,

I need to know whats involved with adjusting the valves. They are
ticking away and I would like to get them sorted.  Brother in law is
very good mechanic with years and years of American car know how but no
experience on alfas.  He is willing to do the work and I have a cardisc
for the car so if anyone can give me the what to do's and not to do's it
would be appreciated.
