Re:82 spider harmonica sound



Brad - not certain if the '82 is an L-Jet system like my '86 but 
if it is it might be a component called the vacuum sensor. This 
senses manifold vacuum and sends an electronic signal to the ECU 
to advance or retard timing slightly. My sensor went out recently 
and gave a similar indication although mine at times was more of a 
shrill whistle. It is mounted behind the passenger seat, on the 
side wall (need to remove the carpet). I got a replacement from 
Spruell in Atlanta, cost over $300. Best of luck.
