gentlemen drivers

I think that pretty much anyplace where they had both gentlemen and cars in 
Italy either the gent had a driver, or the streets were paved and the gent 
could get a nice Alfa or Lancia and drive himself.  

But, they are famous for shoes in Italy, especially in Milano where almost 
every other shop is a shoe place!  NOBODY has that many feet!
