R v LHD

The logic goes this way: Most road courses, in contrast to NASCAR ovals,
are driven in a clockwise direction. This generally requires a majority of
right turns. The apexes of these right turns are easier to see for a
driver seated on the right side of the car, and therefore, possibly, the
driver, having a better view of things, may be able to drive the right
turns faster. I'm not sure there is anything to this theory, but some
people believe it and go to lengths to race RHD cars in places where street
cars have LHD.
