torsion bars

If my memory serves me correctly (which it typically does when I'm 
not taking calculus exams) the great Jaguar E-type had longitudinal 
torsion bars in front.  And if anyone cars, the mid-engined car I 
want to build around a SAAB 900 drivetrain is going to use 
longitudinal torsion bars front and rear, unless it just makes too 
much sense to use the SAAB's front suspension in the back.
