Try cleaning the idle speed control motor located on the side of the
throttle plate. This controls the engine speed at idle by allowing air to
bypass the plate. Remove it and clean it with choke cleaner and replace.
Also you may want to replace the rubber seal that the end slides into, these
get hard and leak air. I had trouble getting the rubber seal so I used
silicone to seal mine on my 91 Spider. Also clean the contact motor and the
wire loom.
