Many years ago (1959) when a Porsche 356 1600 and an Alfa Giulietta were
simply "new sports cars" instead of collectable cult cars, a friend of mine
and I would do informal time trials in an industrial site that was under
development. I had the Porsche and he had the Giulietta 750 ser. NOT a
Veloce. Ther was absolutely no way I could do the course any better than 7
sec. slower than he. It took me many years, but now I am a commited Alfisto
with my Milano Verde and my 1750 Spider.
