I'm a neophyte myself, but I can help you with two of your questions.
1)  I don't think there are lights in the center console, except for the
hazard and fog light switches.
2)  You have REAR fog lights that the fog switch controls.  Don't quote me
on this, but I think they are the amber ones on the back.  It's a European
thing.
