Another way to lock the crank shaft while you get the crank nut off is to
use a chain wrench on the pulley. The wrench sold by Sears is just big
enough if you slide a bolt into the last, empty link hole. I think that I
used a cheater bar that was longer than 4 feet to move the nut.
