What size socket to remove tranny output fork nut?

I started the dissasembly of my broken transmission this weekend and my
progress was stopped when I got to the point where I need to remove a nut
holding in the output fork.  Does anyone know what size socket fits it.  I
think it may be a 32mm deep wall, but I am not sure.  Anyone know?  And
might an SAE size fit close enough?
