Spica oil dilution test?

Hi Group:

Below is a quote from Steve Schaeffer's posting in Digest V8 #78 about his
and Wes' recent conversation about Spica pumps. Here, he's paraphrasing Wes:

". . . Our Spica book clearly explains how to check for plunger wear and
oil dilution which removes the need for a low cost test and service. . ."

My question is in regards to the testing procedure Wes spoke of to
Steve. The edition of Wes' Spica book I've got in front of me has no
mention of the procedure. In section 100, Wes does write that oil dilution
can occur, but not how to test for it, in that section in any other I can
find. So, what's the procedure? Perhaps this book is not the most recent
edition. Any help from the group? Thanks.
