Spider sighting in Port Charlotte, FL

Today (9/26/01) on my way back from lunch, I spotted red mid-late 80s Spider,
very similar to the one I drive.  I gave a brief wave as I passed, but
received no response.  Could there actually be another Spider in this sleepy
town?
