My solution to this was to just heat the ends of the watts links with a 
torch.   Soon the plastic gets soft and bubbly and the old bushings 
slide right out.

The new poly bushes from AlfaBill were a snap to install.  Glad I didn't 
have to bother squeezing the OEMs in.
