radio removal from Milano
She Who Must Be Obeyed is permitting me to buy a Milano. The one I've found
is just about perfect, BUT the radio doesn't work at all. Since a
workingradio is one of her three conditions (working A/C, working radio,
passes emissions), I'm incented to get this glitch worked out. Thoughts:
My understanding is that Milano radios had some funky anti-theft code and if
the battery was ever disconnected, the code had to be reset. To get the
code, one had to get the radio S/N and call somewhere. I suspect that I
would have to get the radio out to get the S/N, so how hard is it to do
that?
Once the radio is out, the thought occurs to me that simply replacing it
with a modern CD player one would be an option (no more code!), so I'm back
to square one -- how much of a nightmere is it to get the radio out?
TIA!
