Re: Repair of GTJr Dash

I'll be stupid enough to give you an answer half way between what you asked
for and what you didn't ask for.
My old Porsche 912 has a similar afflction and the new dash for that hummer
retails at like $995 (price has tumbled to $785 in recent years) way too
much. So I bought a "DashKing" DashMat. It covers the crack, is easy to
clean, cuts the glare I used to get inside the windscreen dramatically, cost
me $40.
It looks great. They have about at trillion different patterns they cut them
from and Some configurations do look a little funky (the ones I've seen on
cars with high, square pods for instrumentation do look a bit goofy).
That would be my first recommendation.
Secondly, We have a guy here in Omaha who opperates a business called "Dr.
Vinyl". I think this is a nationwide franchise. You could call the Doctor.
I hope someone does give you an answer about what you can buy down at the
hardware store to fill this crack. I'd like to know that too.

Subject: Repair of GTJr Dash
Good morning Alfisti,
The dashboard in my 70GTJr has the typical cracks... I don't
really want to buy a dashcap.... Eastwood company sells a kit... Hardware,
Canadian Tire that would do the trick?
Thanks Phil Gicante London, ON
