The first thing to check when you have symptoms like this on any Alfa V6 is
the wiring in and around the engine compartment.  In particular, any sensor
at the front of the engine with a bad connection can cause the engine to
stop running.  Also check all the grounds at the front of the engine
compartment and the ones at the rear of the RHS cylinder head.

In my experience there's a better than 50% chance that cleaning and
detailing these connections will fix your problem.
